The 21st annual World Travel Awards Final Gala Ceremony, hosted in Anguilla earlier this year, saw Norwegian Cruise Line named the World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line by the World Travel Awards, making this the third consecutive year in which the company has been honoured with the prize.

Voted for by both travel agents and consumers across the globe, the annual awards honour travel companies that offer both outstanding products and customer service.

Drew Madsen, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, was understandably pleased.

“We are thrilled to once again be leading the industry and thank our travel partners and guests worldwide for voting Norwegian the World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line,” said Mr. Madsen.

In addition to defending its crown as World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line has also held the title of Europe’s Leading Cruise Line for the past seven years, as well as being named Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line for the past two years.

“We are very proud of this incredible achievement, which is a testament to our continued fleet enhancements, hard-working crew and top-notch guest service,” continued Mr. Madsen.

Norwegian’s Freestyle Cruising vessels sail a diverse range of intriguing itineraries, from the Caribbean to Panama Canal, Pacific Coastal and Mexican Riviera with the line’s newest ship, Norwegian Getaway, cruising the Caribbean on a year-round basis from Miami.

As well as having three ships sailing Alaska, Norwegian has four ships sailing seasonally in Europe, including Norwegian Epic that will begin its voyage in Europe year-round beginning in May, and Pride of America, which sails weekly inter-island Hawaii cruises that offer 100 hours of port time.

Known and respected among companies involved in the global travel and tourism industries since 1993, The World Travel Awards is knowledgeable in recognising and acknowledging excellence, with high requirements expected from all their participants
