When it comes to family friendly at-sea celebrations, no one does it better than Disney. Sure, Christmas may be full of faux snow, Santa suits and glittering trees. But for guests sailing on autumn itineraries, the spotlight is a little spookier…

Every year, Disney Cruise Line unveils themed ‘Halloween on the High Seas’ cruises that celebrate all things creepy. This year is no different, with the line revealing a frighteningly fun line-up of September and October voyages on-board the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic. Sailing to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Canadian Coast, the voyages promise amazing destinations, and plenty of on-board action.

A sneak peek at Disney’s Halloween celebrations…

Chilling by nature, the themed cruises are set to thrill guests with Halloween-themed parties, bloodcurdlingly good live entertainment and of course, Disney’s trademark elaborate décor. The famous Pumpkin Tree will be making yet another appearance, delighting kids and adults alike as it magically transforms throughout the duration of the cruise.

So what else is on the cards? Here’s a glimpse at what to expect…

  • With a host of beloved Disney characters on the invitation list, Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party is a great excuse to dress up, and dance the night away.
  • For Tim Burton fans, A Nightmare Before Christmas—Sing and Scream is an unmissable opportunity to come face to face with Jack and Sally.
  • Love to be spooked? When the sun goes down, head to the decks for Haunted Stories of the Sea. Narrated by a mysterious sea captain storyteller, this after-dark activity is reserved for the bravest of passengers!
  • Music lovers delight, because the Creepy Cabaret is back with a line-up of Halloween-themed music performed live by a band of supernatural musicians.
  • When celebrations for the little ones become a little tiring, make a beeline for Disney’s entertainment district. The fearsome fun continues, with an adults-only edge.
  • Feeling festive? Celebrate Halloween’s best movies by tuning into Funnel Vision. Flicks are available in staterooms, as well as screened by the family pool.
  • Of course, a Disney cruise wouldn’t be complete without tantalising treats. This year, the Disney chefs are going all out with a themed line-up of Halloween goodies, including pumpkin chocolate cake, and spooky juices.
