All passengers, both young and old, will soon be able to enjoy a new version of the popular The DreamWorks Experience with Royal Caribbean.

All your favourite onscreen characters, from well-known Lions, Pandas to Dragons are part of this amazing new DreamWorks Experience, and it’s certain to be as enjoyable as ever! This expansion between Royal Caribbean and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. will also see The DreamWorks Experience brought to yet another ship in May 2013: Mariner of the Seas.

History of The DreamWorks Experience:

It was back in November 2010 that The DreamWorks Experience first appeared in the Royal fleet onboard Allure of the Seas.  It’s no surprise that kids particularly love this activity, as all of their favourite characters are involved in the show, including Princess Fiona from the Shrek series, who in fact inaugurated the Allure as godmother.

Onboard Allure of the Seas, the DreamWorks Experience featured popular shows like Let You Entertain Me: The Madagascar Aqua Show which was held in the ship’s AquaTheater, and on the Studio B ice rink passengers could watch the How to Train Your Dragon Ice Show.

Expansion of DreamWorks:

The DreamWorks Experience has been so successful that it quickly expanded to other ships, including Oasis of the Seas; Freedom of the Seas; Liberty of the Seas and a recent expansion has been onboard Voyager of the Seas. There have been some big names associated with DreamWorks too. In 2011, international stars Antonio Banderas and Selma Hayek both attended the Puss in Boots premier which was hosted on Allure.

About The DreamWorks Experience:

The DreamWorks Experience is an entertainment spectacular. There are parades and themed activities which draw directly from DreamWorks most successful and best-loved films, such as Kung Fu Panda and Shrek. Your kids will love seeing the characters up close and personal! Each ship to carry The DreamWorks Experience also has a 3-D movie theater that shows the DreamWorks films, such as the amazing Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted in 3-D!

“Royal Caribbean is the only cruise line to offer the DreamWorks Experience to vacationers throughout the world and we are delighted to expand our partnership with DreamWorks…The DreamWorks Experience really resonates with our guests since we launched it aboard Allure of the Seas. We worked with DreamWorks Animation to create an incomparable entertainment experience for our guests, no matter what their age, and their feedback has been nothing short of stellar.”

— Lisa Bauer, executive vice president of Global Sales and Marketing, Royal Caribbean International.

Passengers with Royal Caribbean will enjoy The DreamWorks Experience throughout the entire year. If you are booked onboard Freedom of the Seas which sails weekly along Florida’s Space Coast, you and your kids can enjoy the action in beautiful surroundings. Similarly, passengers on Allure of the Seas, the first ship to have The DreamWorks Experience, can still enjoy this now long-running activity as the ship sails from Port Everglades. For those travelling to the Mediterranean Sea on Liberty of the Seas, what better place is there to enjoy the DreamWorks activity than in such stunning scenery? Or perhaps you fancy experiencing this in the Caribbean, which the Liberty of the Seas travels to in the winter season?

As you can see, what makes the partnership with DreamWorks so special is that it creates a winning combination of a luxury ship, spectacular surroundings and high-quality entertainment. This guarantees that all passengers with Royal Caribbean can make the most of their time away.
