Royal Caribbean Scoops Chinese Cruise Accolades

0

For the seventh year running, Royal Caribbean has claimed two of China’s biggest cruise awards – named Best Cruise Operator in China by both Travel Weekly China and TTG China. The two awards by highly influential news sources in the industry demonstrate Royal Caribbean’s continued dedication to the region – rapidly becoming one of the world’s largest cruise markets.

Both awards ceremonies have been developed to honour the leading lights in the travel and tourism industries – covering a large range of travel segments including hotels and resorts, airlines, airports, travel agents, cruise lines and online travel companies.

It has been recently announced that two of the ships in Royal Caribbean’s newest class of the ships, Quantum Class, will be homeporting in China. Joining the original ship in the class, Quantum of the Seas, in China will be the upcoming Ovation of the Seas when she launches next year – securing a larger Royal Caribbean capacity in the region than ever before. This could well put Royal Caribbean ahead of the competition once again as the cruise line looks to make it eight years in a row during the 2016 awards.

Quantum of the Seas

Dr Zinan Liu, Vice President of North Asia & China, Royal Caribbean, enthused: “We are absolutely delighted to receive these two prestigious awards once again. As these awards are voted on by travel agents and consumers across the country, it is an honour to have the support and confidence in our brand from our valued travel partners and the market. This is s a great accomplishment for the Royal Caribbean International team and we will continue to offer our partners and guests the best products and service.”

With a number of cruise lines planning to homeport upcoming and flagship vessels in the region the competition looks set to become more intense than ever, but the esteem Royal Caribbean is held in may give the line the advantage once again.

Rebecca Zhang, Travel Weekly’s Publisher in China, explained: “These awards identify the industry’s finest. The professional who read and rely on trade media have the expertise to select those businesses, destinations and hotels that provide a high level of service to their clients. Our readers can be confident that these winners represent the best this industry has to offer.”
