Quantum of the Seas has just been granted a new home at Cape Liberty Cruise Port, courtesy of Royal Caribbean and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

The new cruise terminal, which has been dedicated to Art on the Working Waterfront, was unveiled along with 10 photographs capturing the unique character of the historic New York Harbor. The photos were taken by Photographer and International Longshoreman Association-member, John Bacaring. Quantum of the Seas will arrive in New York on November 10, 2014, when guests will be welcomed aboard for it’s maiden voyage.

The brand new terminal, located at 4 Port Terminal Boulevard, is a continuing partnership between Royal Caribbean and the Port Authority to develop the Bayonne waterfront to boost cruise tourism. This terminal is the first phase of the $55 million port expansion, which includes a 125,000 sq. ft. check-in, customs and immigration, and luggage processing space, alongside a 950-car parking structure and pier improvements.

“The planned state-of-the-art cruise terminal at Cape Liberty will perfectly complement our Quantum-class ships, which will be the most technologically advanced ships in the world, and help generate jobs and grow the cruise industry regionally,” said Adam Goldstein, President and COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
