P&O Announce Mega Ship

0

P&O Cruises have announced their plans to create a brand new mega ship, which will be the largest cruise ship ever built especially for British travellers. The ships will have a massive 17 decks and seems to be coming at the perfect time as cruising becomes more and more popular in Britain. The amount of Brits choosing cruising (ha, it rhymes) has almost doubled between 2001 and 2010 and the figures continue to grow.

P&O’s new ship will have a grand total of 1,812 cabins and around 3 quarters of those will have private balconies. It will hold a staggering 3,611 passengers and will be the 7th largest cruise ship of all time. It is expected that the ship will have 12 restaurants, a cinema and theatre, several swimming pools, a spa and gym and numerous lounges. British cruise lovers are very, very lucky indeed!

The managing director of P&O has talked about the new ship as delivering the ultimate P&O cruises experience, high quality at affordable prices. The vessel will combine all of the most popular elements from other P&O ships, putting them altogether in one place and really creating the cruise ship of all cruise ships.

A launch date has not yet officially been released but watch this space. No doubt more snippets of information about the new ship will be released over the coming months, whetting our appetites that little bit more.
