A wedding onboard a fantastic cruise ship is many couples’ idea of a dream day. So it’s exciting news that couples can now hold their weddings or renew their vows onboard Royal Caribbean ships.  The company has recently received permission from the Bahamas to conduct legal weddings at sea.  The new Royal Caribbean “Sweethearts at Sea” program will let you spend the most important day of your life in the most beautiful of surroundings.

The Sweethearts at Sea program is running a fantastic promotional offer, which includes the ceremony performed by the Captain, wedding photography and much more! To take advantage of this great opportunity, you’ll need to book at least 12 staterooms on a Royal Caribbean International, sailing during the time of the introductory offer in 2013.

“Thanks to the support of the Bahamas, our guests can now be married during the course of their Royal Caribbean cruise and bask in the romance of the sea as they exchange their vows. Royal Caribbean’s staff and crew will cater the affair with our world-renowned friendly and engaging Gold Anchor Service to help make the day extra special for the couple and their guests.”

There are several different wedding packages if you think that a ceremony with Royal Caribbean sounds perfect for you. For instance, the Royal Romance at Sea package includes a fantastic range of features. With this offer you’ll have your ceremony performed by the Captain, a boutonniere for the groom and a beautiful rose bouquet for the bride. There’s a delightful freshly-made cake and a range of music, including a live soloist for the ceremony. You’ll also receive wine for the ceremony and a luxury dinner for the bride and groom at a specialty restaurant onboard. Photography services for the day are also included, and a wedding would not be complete without champagne and strawberries!

If your wedding party books at least 25 staterooms, you will receive all of the above, but get extra benefits! These include a complimentary stateroom upgrade, a bar service and a delicious hors d’oeuvres reception.

Your wedding will be legally recognized by the Bahamas through the recently passed Marriage Act. This act permits marriages to be conducted in international waters, and the exact location of your wedding will be noted in the Marriage Record book of the Bahamas.

From 1 January 2013, you’ll able to start booking your wedding at sea with Royal Caribbean. So think about how the Sweethearts at Seas program can make your special day even more special!
