Luxurious Luggage Service Offered by Celebrity and Royal Caribbean

Cruise giants Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have announced that they plan to give guests the option of having their luggage picked up from their homes prior to their cruise, and delivered to their stateroom.

This new service is likely to be very popular, and is initially being offered to all British Mainland Residents. You can choose to have your bags picked up from your home from 24 – 96 hours prior to sailing and you will be given a specific time for collection. This will take a lot of the stress out of travelling, particularly for those that like to bring multiple cases onboard a cruise as it can be extremely hard to transport them all.

As well as collecting your luggage from your home and taking it to your stateroom or suite, the cruise lines will also deliver your luggage back to your house after the cruise. If you are the type to worry about your valuables, and like to know where your bags are at all times, you needn’t worry as all baggage will be tracked so you can check up on it’s location at any time.

The managing director of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Dominic Paul said about the new service “The new luggage service is designed to enhance the already exceptionbal service experience which our customer receive on-board all of our UK based Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise ships”. It is expected to be even more beneficial to those families who live far away from ports and for passengers with mobility issues.

The service will cost you £35 per item, each way. Although this is a significant amount of money if you are taking multiple bags with you, it will also offer a huge reduction in the amount of stress you feel before your cruise, and ensures that you only need to bring yourself to the ship, everything else is being taken care of. The service operates every day, so you can really relax and start to enjoy your holiday the moment you step out of your front door.
