The Norwegian Epic, the highly anticipated new ship from Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) will have the largest spa of any cruise ship, as well as a spectacular fitness facility – combined they will measure over 31,000 square feet.

The Mandara Spa will be managed and operated by Steiner, who also operate the spa facilities on other ships from NCL, but this spa will be a cut above the rest. The spa on the Epic will have many truly unique experiences and treatments on offer, for example manicures and pedicures for children, and fully customizable body scrubs and massages for adults.

The spa will have a total of 24 individual treatment rooms, as well as treatment rooms for couples to enjoy massages together. Many of the treatment rooms will also have their own balconies where guests can relax on a chaise lounge and watch the world go by.

As well as catering for adults, younger guests on the Epic can enjoy their own ice-cream themed manicures and pedicures. A new concept in spas generally, the Mandara will offer social spa experiences for children where they can test out products together, and mother-daughter, father-son massages. For those cruising with their children, this will no doubt be a welcome addition to the already extensive choice of family activities.

The Epic will also have Norwegian Cruise Line’s first ever spa cabins. The 39 staterooms which are dedicated to the spa will be accessible via a private key card. All guests staying in the spa cabins will have free access to the Hyrdotherapy Courtyard and the Thermal Suite. A small selection of the spa cabins will also have whirlpools in their room, as well as their own private balcony.
