Things are heating up on-board Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest fleet member which will feature two tropical themed venues imported straight from the USA. Scheduled to make her debut on November 14, Norwegian Escape will treat passengers to Jimmy Buffet’s world famous Margaritaville restaurant as well as the iconic 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.

America’s world famous Margaritaville set to hit the high seas!

Late last year the Miami based cruise line signed an exclusive contract with Margaritaville Holdings confirming the at-sea debut of the celebrated establishments. The agreement granted Norwegian Cruise Line the permission to feature the lyric-inspired restaurant on-board its newest vessel, accompanied by the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.

Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian’s Chief Executive Officer officially announced the partnership at a recent corporate meeting attended by over 2,000 employees. The legendary Jimmy Buffet himself was on hand to lend some star power, make an official thank you statement and treat the audience to a few of his greatest hits! Sheehan couldn’t have been happier, maintaining that the line is “more than thrilled to form this exclusive partnership with Jimmy and his talented team.”

A tropical experience like no other

Named after his hit song “Margaritaville,” the restaurant will serve up its trademark dishes in paradise inspired surrounds. Think tasty jambalaya, crispy fish tacos, juicy flat iron steak and zesty key lime pie. After filling up on classic American fare passengers can let their hair down at the upbeat 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar which will host nightly musical acts. As well as offering its passengers a terrifically tropical at-sea experience Norwegian has also secured the rights to construct Margaritaville establishments on its privately owned land in Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas and Harvest Caye, Belize. Given that the agreement spans across Norwegian’s fleet we can expect to see Margaritaville venues popping up on a handful of ships over the next year!

Complementing Norwegian Escape’s tropical themed decks is a sun kissed Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Departing from her homeport of Miami,  she ship will operate seven day cruises calling at St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas.
