Freedom of the Seas Signs on for 24 Day Dry-Dock

Royal Caribbean sets sail to some of the most exotic destinations on the planet and it makes sure that it takes its passengers there in style! So when Freedom of the Seas started to look a little on the shabby side the line immediately whisked it away to Freeport, Bahamas where it will undergo a 24 day ship wide refurbishment.

A modern-day makeover

According to Royal Caribbean representatives the dry dock will see Freedom of the Seas polished, preened and equipped with some brand new guest facilities. New carpeting has already been rolled out across some of the ship’s decks, with more set to come over the next three weeks. While not much else has been confirmed there are rumours flying around that the face-lift could see the ship decked out with some brand new specialty dining venues. Sabor Modern Mexican, Giovanni’s Table and Izumi just to name a few! Fans are also hoping for some exclusive perks including a luxurious Diamond Member Lounge and Concierge Lounge for VIP guests.

Structural fine tuning

Over the past few months Freedom of the Seas has been plagued with some pretty major propulsion problems. As well an aesthetic revamp we think it’s safe to say that engineers will be using the dry-dock time to repair any issues.
