Although cruise lines have no obligation to provide religious services aboard their ships, many choose to do so to help accommodate the faiths of their passengers. Here, we review the cruise lines which offer religious services and the holidays which are celebrated on board.

  Sunday Service Other Religious Holidays
Azamara Cruises No Services. Certain religious holidays may be honoured and celebrated if clergy are on-board to perform the relevant services.
Carnival Cruises No Services. Services will only be provided if clergy are on board the ship and volunteer their service.Only the most holy days and celebrations will be officially celebrated.
Celebrity Cruises No Services. Certain religious holidays may be honoured and celebrated if clergy are on-board to perform the relevant services.
Cunard Cruises Ecumenical services are provided by either the Captain or the Staff Captain. A Chaplain is aboard all the ships to hold services for all the major Christian holidays.A Rabbi is also on board to celebrate the four main holidays in the Jewish calendar.
DisneyCruises No Services. Certain religious holidays may be honoured and celebrated if clergy are on-board to perform the relevant services.
Fred Olsen Cruises Christian services with prayers and holy readings. A Chaplain is aboard Christmas, Easter and World cruises to lead multi-denominational services.
Holland America Inter-Denominational Service on SundaysDaily Mass.Weekly Sabbath Eve. A Rabbi is on board to celebrate the four main holidays in the Jewish calendar.Inter-denominational services are held during appropriate religious holidays.
MSC Cruises No Services. No Services.
Norwegian Cruise Line Most ships in the line host a small chapel. No Services
P&O Cruises Ecumenical services are provided by either the Captain or the Staff Captain. A Chaplain is aboard all the ships to hold services for all the major Christian holidays.A Rabbi is also on board to celebrate the four main holidays in the Jewish calendar.
Princess Cruises Inter-Denominational Service. Guest Catholic and Jewish clergy on board for major Christian and Jewish holidays.Catholic clergy will perform Catholic and Protestant services when on board.
Royal Caribbean No Services. Certain religious holidays may be honoured and celebrated if clergy are on-board to perform the relevant services.
Thomson Cruises Inter-Denominational Service. Services are available for most religious holidays.
