Cruise Miss Shares Her Perfect Cruise Holiday

1

We asked Danielle Fear, otherwise known as Cruise Miss, to spill the beans on her perfect cruise holiday. Read on to find out where she would visit, and what her perfect cruise ship would look like…

If I could build the perfect ship and then the perfect itinerary to go with it, what would it be? Well, I gave it some thought and so far, this is what I have managed to come up with.

I actually shared my perfect cruise itinerary on my own blog just a few months ago and I think at this moment in time, I would probably keep it as it is. It’s so hard because I want to see all of the world, but if I REALLY did build my own itinerary it would probably take 2 years to actually sail it – my last attempt looked like this and I am sure you will agree is a little more realistic.

Southampton | Cherbourg, France | Rabat, Morocco | Gibraltar | Algiers, Algeria | Tunis, Tunisia | Alexandria, Egypt (for tours to Cairo – overnight in port) | Suez Canal Transit | Sharm el-Sheikh (overnight in port) | Aqaba, Jordan (for tours to Petra) | Safaga, Egypt (for tours to Luxor – overnight in port) | Jeddah, Saudi Arabia | Salalah, Oman |  Abu Dhabi, UAE (overnight in port) | Mumbai, India | Colombo, Sri Lanka | Yangon, Burma | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Singapore, Malaysia | Bangkok, Thailand (overnight in port) | Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Hong Kong, China (overnight in port) | Manila, Philippines | Papua New Guinea | Brisbane, Australia | Sydney, Australia | Tasmania | Wellington, New Zealand | Santiago, Chile | Lima, Peru | San Diego, California (overnight in port) | Hilo, Hawaii | Honolulu, Hawaii | San Francisco, California (overnight in port) | Los Angeles, California (overnight in port) | Costa Rica | Panama Canal Transit | Cartagena, Colombia | Havana, Cuba (overnight in port) | The Bahamas | Puerto Rico | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Cape Town, South Africa | Walvis Bay, Namibia (overnight in port) | Luanda, Angola | Sao Tome and Principe | Lagos, Nigeria | The Gambia | Dakar, Senegal | Funchal, Madeira | Southampton

So, I have built my perfect itinerary, now to create my ship! This is undoubtedly the hardest task! She would be P&O Cruises Oceana on the outside and I would keep her atrium and Café Jardin. I would mix things up just a little and add Cagney’s Steakhouse from Norwegian Cruise Line and probably O’Sheehan’s too – then I could have Mozzarella dippers every day! They were pretty good Mozzarella dippers too to be honest! I would give her Queen Mary 2’s aft tiered decks because outside space is really important for me and she has the best stern, full stop! I would also add the Grampian Restaurant from Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Braemar, as this would be a nice dining space when one just wanted something a little quieter and slightly more intimate.

What else…………..this is really difficult!

Oh, how could I forget my lovely Ventura! I would add Ventura’s open decks, with the exception of her aft as QM2 already has that space! I would then add to those decks the Pizzeria from Princess Cruises and the Movies Under the Stars screen would have to be given a home – somewhere! My ship would smell delicious, just like the MSC Cruises fleet and my stateroom would be a mix between a balcony stateroom on Norwegian Getaway and a balcony Stateroom on MSC Magnifica – if they could both be combined in some way it would be bliss, but I would have to insist on tea and coffee making facilities from P&O Cruises.

I could go on and on. In fact I could go on for so long that my ship would end up being so big she would more than likely sink on contact with water!

What do you think of Danielle’s perfect cruise? And what would your ideal cruise holiday look like?
