Carnival Cruise Line Launches Amazing Exhibit for Kids in Miami

0

Carnival Cruise Line have partnered with Miami Children’s Museum to create an amazing learning space for children in the Floridian city. Located in Upper Deck, a cruise ship-themed exhibit in downtown Miami, the space has been designed to inspire children and introduce them to cruise ships and the cruise industry.

Complete with an interactive model of a Navigational Control Station, a Lego table challenging kids to build their own cruise ship out of tiny bricks, and a Destination Wall offering a little geographical guidance; the exhibit has been built to educate and inspire the next generation of cruise fans.

A Dr Seuss family reading area has also opened in the exhibit, similar to those found on ships in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet. Additionally, a 32-foot-long I-Wall gives visitors a look inside a Carnival ship, glimpsing various venues and features.

The newly renovated space was officially opened this week, and attended by Tracy Mourning, the Godmother of Carnival Breeze, and Carnival’s vice president of entertainment, Sarah Beth Reno. Similar to christening a new ship, a bottle of Champagne was popped open (not smashed) to mark the occasion.

Carnival Cruise Line and Miami Children’s Museum have a longstanding relationship, with the cruise line first supporting the venue back in the early 80s – producing various exhibits over the years. As well as introducing children to the cruise industry, Carnival Cruise Line have used the space to get kids interested in everything nautical, from the engineering of megaships to the global destinations the Carnival Cruise Line fleet visits.

The cruise industry is one of the biggest employers in Miami, thanks to its many port terminals housing many of the world’s biggest and best-loved cruise ships. Many children passing through the museum will pursue a career in the cruise industry – so the Carnival Cruise Line exhibition provides a great start on the professional path.

Alongside the Carnival Cruise Line zone, the museum features over 10 other exhibits including Music Makers Studio, Pet Central and Castle of Dreams.
