Carnival Breeze, the latest ship in the Carnival Cruise Line was launched in Barcelona this week. One of the lines’ next generation Dream-class ships, it offers the fantastic top deck Waterworks area which is a fantastic aqua park. It has exhilarating water slides and splash pools. Also on deck is the SportSquare with a rope course, crazy golf and even an outdoor fitness area giving a fantastic view whilst you run away the miles. The promenade wrapping around the ship has periodic whirlpools, which extend over the ship’s sides for a true sense of floating above the ocean and for those who can’t cope without their TV fix there’s a 270 sq ft LED screen which displays movies and other programmes. For those who want to take the opportunity to relax, there’s an adults only retreat for some quiet time.
Food is a key consideration on board with 24 hour options on the Lido deck for fast food options such as pizza, burgers, deli options and even a burrito bar. For a more discerning palate, Carnival Breeze’s sushi bar gives you the opportunity to practice using chop sticks! Cucina del Capitano, offers authentic Italian dining and since many of the officers are Italian, you know you are getting the real thing! The Captain even has his own table there so the food must be good. If meat is your thing, you can’t do better than the onboard steakhouse for options such as dry aged steaks, lobster, lamb chops and chicken. With delicious starters, salad accompaniments and amazing desserts you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Moving onto entertainment, the Main Show lounge offers musicals, entertainment extravaganzas and you won’t be disappointed, as Carnival’s entertainment staff are a talented troupe of actors, singers, musicians and dancers. In the Aft Lounge you’re more likely to find comedy club entertainment, live bands, karaoke – a place where people join in and give their best! If its dancing you are wanting, Carnival Breeze’s Dance Club is the place for giving it a whirl, from pumping modern to ballroom. Cool off listening to the master pianist tinkling the ivories and have a singalong if you know the words!
