Royal Princess set to have new private cabanas

0

Great news for passengers looking for some serious relaxation while on their cruise: Princess Cruises will soon be offering guests on their new ship Royal Princess the chance to enjoy fabulous private cabanas. This little slice of luxury will definitely enhance any passenger’s holiday experience and provide much needed relaxation!

Royal Princess is set to sail in June 2013 and will carry 3,600 passengers. The new private cabanas are inspired by the line’s already well-known and popular Sanctuary and Retreat Pool. The new cabanas will give guests even more opportunity to personalise and tailor their own relaxation experience and make the most of their time on holiday.

“The private spa-inspired setting of The Sanctuary and the calm atmosphere of our adults-only pools have made them among the more popular areas on our ships…So aboard Royal Princess we’re taking both of these areas and giving them a new twist.”

— Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president.

In 2006 Crown Princess initially introduced The Sanctuary and the concept has been replicated on the new Royal Princess. However, there are now some additional exclusive features.  Onboard Royal Princess, The Sanctuary has a new décor and design features, including extremely comfy lounge chairs, circular daybeds and a fantastic central pavilion. The atmosphere is specially created to help guests fall into a relaxed state, with beautiful rock gardens, topiary planting and soothing soft lighting.

The Sanctuary Cabanas are expected to be very popular with passengers and they have even more luxurious features. Imagine stepping into a private space where you are given a comfortable robe and slippers while you recline on soft cushioned sofas. There’s a television provided with noise-reducing headphones, so you’ll be totally shut off from the outside and in your own world. And of course, the Cabanas include a stocked mini-bar and a range of delicious and healthy treats and snacks.

There are also two Lotus Spa Cabanas, which are slightly different in that these are private spaces where passengers can have various spa treatments, such as alfresco massages.

Other changes to The Sanctuary format on Royal Princess include a larger adult-only retreat pool, which will now have extra seating. There will also be private spaces along the Retreat Pool called Retreat Cabanas, which provide extra private space when needed.

Any passenger who takes advantage of these fantastic cabanas will also receive a delicious gourmet hamper packed full of antipasti, pizza, sandwiches, and fresh desserts. There’s also a high-quality bottle of wine included too. Everything seems taken care of!

The other new and enhanced features on Royal Princess are a larger atrium area and a cantilevered SeaWalk. There will be a television studio on board and all staterooms will have balconies to make sure that guests make the most of the spectacular views. When the ship sets sail in June 2013 it will make cruises during the summer on the Grand Mediterranean itinerary, and later make voyages to the Eastern Caribbean in the autumn.
