Two-Storey Golf Course Added to Adventure of the Seas

0

As part of their update and upgrade process of the Adventure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean have announced they are adding a two-storey golf course, bringing new levels of fun on the ocean for the whole family. The 15-year-old ship is set to enter dry dock in November and will receive a £50million makeover, before entering back into service later that month.

The two-storey golf course will be the first of its kind on a Royal Caribbean ship, and is set to be named Adventure Dunes. It will be remotely related to the one-storey version, Liberty Dunes, found on Liberty of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean have really gone to town revitalising Adventure of the Seas, one of the oldest members of their fleet, with a huge selection of new additions planned for the end-of-year upgrade. Alongside the amazing new golf course will be racing waterslides, a surf simulator (the popular FlowRider model), and a kids’ waterpark – helping the ship really live up to her name.

Alongside these adventure and action-packed features, the ship will also benefit from a new dining line up, with the additions of Izumi Japanese Cuisine, Chops Grille steakhouse and Boleros Latin Lounge. Additionally, a bumper 100 new staterooms are set to be added to the liner, with the luxury suites receiving a makeover.

Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International: “We’re thrilled to debut an array of new enhancements to one of our guest’s most beloved ships. The name Adventure says it all; this ship is packed with action, featuring a mix of signature features and innovations, including thrilling new waterslides and VOOM, the fastest internet at sea.”

The Voyager Class ship will become the fifth vessel in the Royal Caribbean fleet to enjoy a revitalisation makeover, and the £50million budget represents the largest upgrade investment in the line’s history.

With the newest members of the Royal Caribbean fleet featuring the world’s most progressive and cutting-edge technologies, the line is conscious that their more established vessels should not be left behind. Despite being 15 years old, Adventure of the Seas will become one of the world’s most technologically-advanced ships.
