The massively popular and successful West End show, “Saturday Night Fever: The Musical” has made it’s debt on Royal Caribbean‘s Liberty of the Seas. It is the first ever Broadway show to be featured on a Royal Caribbean cruise in Europe.

The original show premiered in London back in 1998 and since then it has been seen by an incredible 10 million people all over the world. Onboard the Liberty of the Seas, the starring role of Tony has been given to a British actor called Lucas Rush who will be bringing the show alive with the rest of the cast in the Platinum Theatre.

Senior vice president of Hotel Operations for Royal Caribbean, Lisa Bauer, has commented on her delight that the cruise line are able to offer such a fantastic West End hit aboard the Liberty of the Seas.

Saturday Night Fever: The Musical is based on the 1970’s movie “Saturday Night Fever” which starred John Travolta as the main character. It is widely recognised by the soundtrack which featured classics such as “Stayin’ Alive” and “Tragedy” by the Beegees.

As well as this new West End show, Liberty Seas has received several other enhancements recently in terms of onboard entertainment and activities. Royal Caribbean Cruises already have a name for themselves as being one of the best in the industry for their huge range of activities onboard, and this is likely to make them even more popular with cruise lovers the world over.
