Musical theatre favourite Krisin Chenoweth performed at Sydney Opera House earlier this week. Adam Armstrong, commerce director of Royal Caribbean Australia met the performer backstage.
Adam and a group from Royal Caribbean enjoyed Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth’s performance. They went on to meet the musical theatre singer backstage, where she posed for a picture with Adam (see, right).
Chenoweth is Godmother the upcoming Quantum of the Seas ship, which is currently being built at the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Germany. Chenoweth already has played a more “hands on” role than most ship Godmothers. Typically, Godmothers usually just christen the ship’s hull with champagne at the naming ceremony (just like Kate Middleton did earlier this month) and attend a party onboard the ship. However, Kristin co-hosted Quantum of the Seas’ worldwide launch event in New York earlier this year, where details of the new ship was announced, plus she even starred in the mini film teasing the new ship’s launch.
Speaking about her Sydney Opera House performance and being Godmother to the industry’s most innovative ship, Chenoweth said:
”It was a dream come true to perform the special material that I created just for my Australian tour last night at Sydney’s Opera House and it was a thrill to have special guests of Royal Caribbean in the audience.
I am so excited to be godmother of Quantum of the Seas and hope to see lots of my Aussie fans on board when she launches in the US next year!”
