Royal Caribbean Shows Off Harmony of the Seas

0

It is only just over half a year until the Harmony of the Seas is launched by Royal Caribbean, with the ship set to become the largest in operation. With a length of 1,181ft and a total capacity of 5,497 passengers – the ship is set to pip her sister ships of the Oasis Class to the title of world’s largest cruise vessel.

As it can be hard to truly appreciate just how big the ship will be until you get face-to-face with the vessel, Royal Caribbean have created this helpful graphic showing the new ship towering above some of the world’s most iconic (and massive) buildings and structures. The likes of the Eiffel Tower, Burj al Arab and the Big Ben tower are all dwarfed by the new ship when stood on her end.

So big is the new ship, it is almost the same size as six Leaning Towers of Pisa stood on top of one another in a dangerous game of Jenga.

The new ship is set to include many of the features found on the existing Oasis Class ships as well as the high-tech amenities of the Quantum Class – making it one of the world’s most advanced cruise ships as well as the largest.

The Harmony of the Seas will make her debut, sailing out of Southampton on 29 May 2016 – one of the most exciting entries in the 2016 cruise calendar. The ship will then relocate to the Catalan capital of Barcelona the following month – completing beautiful itineraries throughout Europe.

Cruise1st will continue to keep you updated about the latest Harmony of the Seas developments and all the other new ships which are entering the seas over the next few years.
