Royal Caribbean Make Enhancements to Land Excursions

Royal Caribbean Cruises have announced that they will be providing guests with an even bigger choice of land excursions than ever before. The changes will be applied to European cruises, affecting 55 ports across 22 countries. New options include private tours, and family friendly tours which will keep children and teenagers entertained along the way.

As well as offering these new kinds of excursions on their cruises, Royal Caribbean will also be almost doubling the amount of tours they already have available. There will be a total of 109 unique land excursion itineraries when the new cruise ships are launched in Europe in 2011.

It has long been a complaint of cruise fans that they wish there were some more flexible excursion options, and now they will be able to fully customise their excursion, taking either a half day or full day trip. As well as being able to travel in groups, guests will be able to travel in dedicated private vehicles, either alone or with a guide. Excursions can also be tailored to guests personal tastes and styles. Finding out about guests interests, Royal Caribbean will try to produce the perfect itinerary for their guests on an individual level.

Sure to be popular with families on a cruise to Europe, are the new family friendly excursions which have activities in the intineraries aimed to keep children entertained. This includes Pizza making in Sorrento and sea kayaking in Croatia, sure to keep children of all ages happy!

Royal Caribbean will also be adding further “easy tours” which will be completely accessible. The tours feature vehicles adapted with ramps or lift, and shore excursions which cater for those who use wheel chairs, or guests who find it difficult to walk or stand for long periods of time.
