Royal Caribbean Launches Dedicated TV Channel for Autism-Focussed Programming

0

Royal Caribbean has extended their on-board television services to include on-demand content from The Autism Channel. This complimentary service will be available aboard the majority of the line’s ships, and will feature a selection of streamed shows from the specialist channel.

The channel will be available in the cabins of the Quantum, Oasis, Freedom, Voyager and Radiance class ships – giving passengers the chance to enjoy educational and entertainment programming with a strong autism focus. Many of the shows on the channel are focussed on offering support to families with members on the autism spectrum, from insights into the lives of families with autistic members to interviews with medical and legal professionals.

Jeffrey A. Kasky, president of the The Autism Channel, enthused: “The Autism Channel is delighted that Royal Caribbean has chosen to make this valuable content available on many Royal Caribbean ships. For every one person on the autism spectrum there are six more persons directly impacted by that person. Complimentary access to The Autism Channel’s exclusive content will benefit many Royal Caribbean guests and bring more awareness to Autism.”

All of The Autism Channel programming will be offered in English, with optional closed captioning from guests who suffer from hearing problems.

Programmes available on The Autism Channel include:

  • I Am Autistic with Daniel Heinlein
  • Dr Judy
  • Real Look Autism Service Dogs America
  • The Rocket Family Chronicles
  • Cooking with Jana
