Cruising to Alaska is one of the great nautical pursuits, offering stunning views and a unique insight into some of the most extreme habitats on earth. However Princess Cruises have gone to extreme lengths to ensure their Alaska cruises are even more unforgettable – by welcoming traditional Alaskan sled pups aboard the ships.
The Puppies in the Piazza experience is just one of the brand new features aboard Princess’ North to Alaska cruises – giving guests the chance to visit the adorable pups in the atriums of the ships, snapping pics and having a good old play.
Although significantly less adorable, the dogs’ handlers will also be on hand to field questions about the canines, and the wildly popular sport of dog-sledding.
Additionally, a handful of new fishing experiences are also being offered aboard the line’s cruises to Alaska, even giving guests the chance to bring their prized catch on board and have the chefs whip it up for dinner. Helping guests get the most out of their prized catches, the on board chefs will prepare the fish to the diner’s exact request.
Both the Puppies in the Piazza and the fishing trips are complimentary for guests aboard Alaskan cruises aboard Crown Princess, Star Princess, Ruby Princess, Island Princess, Coral Princess and Grand Princess.
Additional cost activities and experiences have also been added to the itineraries, including the chance to meet climbers who have conquered Denali, North America’s tallest peak, and one of the world’s most challenging climbs. The intrepid explorers will share their stories as they battled some of the world’s most extreme conditions and avoided grizzly bears and wolves to get to the peak.
The six ships in the Princess Cruises fleet sailing to Alaska will complete more than 120 journeys to this stunning part of the planet in 2016.
