Norwegian cruise line have launched 32 new cabins onboard Pride of America.
The new cabins represent the finishing touches to the $30 million enhancement and refurbishment project that started back in March this year.
In total, there are 24 newly refurbished suites, four solo studios and four wonderful new inside cabins onboard the NCL ship.
Pride of America, which is based in Honolulu, Hawaii, is now home to 32 elegantly designed cabins featuring warm, earthy tones and subtle pops of colour. The new cabins are noticeably different to the other cabins, which are decorated with more vibrant colours and abstract patterns. Below, you can see a taster of the new cabins (centre) –
24 new suites have been given updated furnishings, new fabrics, new carpets and totally renovated bathrooms. Passengers staying in the new rooms will also enjoy expansive balconies, which range from 150 square feet to 1,200 square feet – impressive! The larger balconies are currently the largest in Norwegian’s fleet.
Along with four new inside cabins, the company have added four new solo cabins have to the ship. No doubt these will be booked up quickly in advance, as solo rooms are soaring in popularity at the moment – single cabins are highly sought after on cruise ships. Norwegian Cruise Line first introduced the solo cabins on Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Breakaway; they’ve been a huge success with single cruisers as they lift the burden of the dreaded double occupancy rate.
The ship entered dry dock in March 2013. During this time, in addition to the new rooms and cabins, Pride of America has also been renovated with two new steakhouses (one Brazilian style, the other is traditional), ship-wide internet, new carpeting throughout, flat-screen televisions in all cabins, refreshed decor and upgrades to the fitness centre (ideal for those who love exercising, even when on holiday!)
