Launching in March 2015, the P&O Britannia is set to become the largest cruise ship registered to the UK. Sailing out of both Southampton and Liverpool, the Britannia will become a regular sight for many British cruise fans looking out over the seas. Starburst Atrium
Welcoming you aboard the new ship from P&O, the Starburst Atrium is a breath-taking centre stage to the Britannia. Set over numerous decks, the atrium benefits from a stunning chandelier designed to mimic a beautiful starburst. The atrium serves as a gateway to the extensive array of facilities and amenities aboard the P&O Britannia.
Sindhu
Following the success of his signature restaurant aboard the Azura, world-famous chef Atul Kochhar will open another branch of hi Sindhu chain aboard the P&O Britannia. The restaurant will serve a selection of Indian dishes with a contemporary British twist. Kochhar, dubbed the ‘Master of Spices’, draws inspiration from his native India as he serves many of the dishes which helped him earn his two Michelin stars.
The Glass House
The Glass House is a brand new venture from P&O and famous wine buff Olly Smith. The sommelier, TV presenter and self-proclaimed foodie is lending his expert palate to this stylish, relaxed restaurant which offers the guests opportunities to enjoy beautiful wines aboard the Britannia whilst taking stunning sea views.
Union Jack Bow
The 94 metre Union Jack flag painted on the bow of the Britannia is the largest of its kind in the world. Celebrating the ship’s British heritage, the Union Jack flag is set to be one of the most awe-inspiring sights as it arrives in Liverpool and Southampton. The traditional champagne bottle is being chilled to be smashed against the Union Jack upon its launch in March 2015.
Cookery Club
Alongside the wide selection of restaurants aboard the Britannia, the ship also plays host to a cookery club where passengers can learn from culinary masters including famed chef James Martin. The modern kitchen setup makes the perfect setting for guests to learn kitchen tips, tricks and skills.
