Cunard has announced that fashion icon Iris Apfel will be a headline speaker on their Transatlantic Fashion Week Cruise this year. Along with other leaders of the industry, Iris Apfel will be sharing her fashion wisdom with passengers aboard the week-long style cruise. The cruise will feature glamorous dinners, exclusive fashion line unveilings and catwalk shows that will cement its place as a highly anticipated event in the international fashion show calendar.
The jet-setting celebrity will conduct a Q&A session with passengers, offering insights into her glamorous lifestyle, what inspires her, and her forecast for upcoming fashion trends. Speaking about Transatlantic Fashion Week, Apfel said: “I’ve lived quite a life of fashion and can’t wait to experience style at sea. I look forward to being inspired by the elegance and glamour of the occasion and life onboard, especially the formal nights on my voyage across the Atlantic.”
Josh Leibowitz, senior vice president of Cunard North America, spoke of the company’s excitement at having Iris Apfel onboard for Transatlantic Fashion Week. Designer Julian MacDonald is the headline designer for this year’s voyage, and will give an audience with interviewer Colin McDowell, a catwalk fashion show showcasing his latest designs, and host an evening dinner table. Colin MacDowell, famed fashion historian, will also give an exclusive book signing, theatre talks, a fashion illustration interactive workshop, and host an evening dinner table. Fashion advisor Gail Sackloff will also host an evening dinner table. All fashion shows will feature fresh new faces from acclaimed model management agency Storm Models.
