Cuba Set to Welcome over 200 Cruise Ships This Winter. But Will It Welcome You?

0

Brits may be feeling the winter chill, but are heating up in Cuba! This year, the idyllic Caribbean island will welcome more than 200 cruise ships across its collection of ports.

Escape the winter chill

The winter season officially kicks off on November 21 and will run until April 2015. Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba are the most popular ports and are already greeting British passengers wanting to swap rain and snow for glorious Caribbean sunshine.

A commitment to growth

While the Cuban cruise industry recently experienced a devastating slump, the nation’s tourism board is working hard to market the destination to leading lines. This includes developing and promoting a number of tourist-friendly attractions, activities and experiences including culture, nature, health, sports and more. Their strategy is clearly working wonders, with 10,000 passengers arriving in 2010 and even more expected for the 2014/15 winter season!

Want to head to Cuba this winter? Secure a great deal on Caribbean voyages with leading cruise booking company, Cruise 1st. The site offers incredible deals from all the major lines, including Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and P&O.
