Just when you thought that every possible reality TV show had been done… out pops another one and this time, it’s one which I think will really appeal to most people reading this blog! From the X Factor, to Strictly Come Dancing, many of us are starting to get a little tired of the same old reality tv shows and talent contests but this one is different…. why? It’s set on a cruise ship!
The TV show is called “Showboaters” and was shot on the Thomson Dream, one of Thomson Cruises’ incredible cruise ships. In the programme, ten entertainers battle it out for a place in the Thomson entertainment team for the forthcoming cruise season in the Caribbean.
However, this show is about more than just entertaining and performing. The finalists were required to learn all about life onboard a cruise ship, working in several different roles around the liner, supervised by the cruise director.
As always in reality TV shows, the winner is decided by votes – from the passengers and a panel of judges. Two contestants will be voted off each week until the grand finale airs which will feature four finalists.
