The best part of all is that the cruise lines realise that they have to do more than ever to keep their guests loyal.
However, there have been some cruise lines that have been cutting back on their reward programs. Not Celebrity Cruises! They recognise the importance of creating more value-add features, which encourage more guests to book itineraries with them.
A great loyalty program that has been recently enhanced with new tiers of recognition and rewards is the Captain’s Club Program offered by Celebrity Cruises. Thanks to taking the input of guests, the popular cruise line, with 11 ships that offer modern luxury vacations to all seven continents, the program has been improved with rewards the guests actually want.
Here’s what’s new, starting with sailings that commence after November 25, 2013:
• Two additional levels of status and rewards beyond the existing “Elite” level, which was previously the highest level of membership in the loyalty program. There will now be six tiers that include “Preview,” “Classic,” “Select” and “Elite” as well as the new tiers of “Elite Plus” and “Zenith.” Elite Status brings a higher level of recognition, including more beverage and specialty dining discounts as well as complimentary items like cappuccinos, lattes, Internet packages and more. As the ultimate tier, Zenith status provides access to Michael’s Club Lounge as well as complimentary items like free laundry and Internet.
• Guests can move through the loyalty tiers faster thanks to a new Club Points system that takes stateroom category and days spent onboard into consideration. Previous cruise credits will now be automatically converted into Club Points with no expiration and no lost benefits.
• Another new enhancement is the ability to quickly access special pricing exclusively for Captain’s Club members through the Captain’s Club portal on the Celebrity Cruises website. By simply entering their name and Captain’s Club member number on the site, they can instantly see available loyalty pricing.
• Club members can also access exclusive loyalty pricing through the Captain’s Club portal found on the Celebrity Cruises website for upcoming cruise bookings.
