It’s no secret that Carnival Cruise Line and Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri have been wining and dining together for quite some time. Now, the pair have taken their relationship one step further, with the line announcing that Carnival Magic will debut a brand new Guy Fieri inspired BBQ joint, complete with a kaleidoscopic sauce bar where diners can smother their eats in the chef’s legendary condiments. As an official member of the American Royal National Barbecue Hall of Fame, Fieri is setting a new at-sea standard for authentic, real-deal smokehouse favourites.
Passengers Keen to Hit up ‘The Pig’
Playfully named Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse, the restaurant will offer guests a casual open-air vibe, backed with a tantalising line up of dishes. Think Fieri’s world famous patty recipes, in-house meat rubs, aromatic spices, scrumptious sides and, of course, a traditional wood smoker.
To be specific, we’re talking Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese, Old Skool Potato Salad, Scratch-Made Slaw, Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey and Molasses Baked Beans with Bacon and Burnt Ends… and more!
Guy Fieri Signature Sauces
Following the lead of the setup seen in Guy’s Burger Joint, diners will be invited to hit up the sauce bar and dress their meals in the toppings of their choice. Fieri’s signature sauces will steal the spotlight, with instalments such as the Award-Winning Brown Sugar, Kansas City, Sriracha BBQ and Carolina #6 all making an appearance.
From midday until 2.30pm on sea days the venue is 100% on the house, which means passengers can treat themselves to a slice of Guy’s fabled burgers, as they please.
The New Look Carnival Magic
The new addition is all part of a Carnival Magic dry-dock that will see the ship emerge with a host of exciting new features, attractions and amenities. This includes the RedFrog Rum Bar, Alchemy Bar and Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and Cantina, as well as Pizzeria del Capitano and the eternally popular Cherry on Top sweet store.
