Norwegian Cruise Line today announced their plans to hold the first ever at-sea tweetup for any social media enthusiasts with a passion for cruising.
The SeaTweetup will be a cruise lasting for three nights in the Bahamas, departing on the 18th November this year from Miami. It has been billed by NCL as the world’s first meeting for Twitter fans at sea.
The Tweetup will be held on NCL‘s Norwegian Sky ship and has been organized with the help of the social media television show, SocialBuzzTV among others. Twitter users onboard the cruise will be encouraged to tweet regular updates about their experiences using the ship’s wifi coverage. There will also be several networking events such as panel discussions about social media which passengers can take part in.
The Norwegian Sky will stop at several ports on this three day mini cruise, and will be the first to get a good look at the NCL private island (Great Stirrup Cay) which has been undergoing a transformation costing a whopping $20 million.
Prices for the cruise are extremely reasonable, especially as you will get to be a part of social media AND cruising history!
