Ever-dedicated to bringing new experiences to holidaying on the seas, Cunard line has announced a number of unique event itineraries including the first ever transatlantic fashion cruise. A number of names from the fashion world will be present as guests are treated to a selection of shows, talks and meet & greets.
The Transatlantic Fashion Week voyage will arrive in New York in time for the world famous New York Fashion Week 2016. Following a seven day cruise aboard the Queen Mary 2, guests will have a chance to enjoy the sights and shows of the Big Apple during the world’s leading fashion showcase.
Fern Mallis, the founder of New York Fashion Week will be on board to educate and entertain guests, alongside luminaries such as Dame Zandra Rhodes CBE and Colin McDowell. Rhodes will reveal a number of new designs during the voyage with help from members of Storm modelling agency. She enthused: “I’m extremely excited to be joining Canard on board Queen Mary 2 for the very first Transatlantic Fashion Week, 2016.
“For me, it offers the opportunity to share my knowledge and wonderful experiences from throughout my career in fashion, and give guests a taste of what my collection has to offer.”
In addition to the Transatlantic Fashion Week voyage, Cunard have announced an itinerary sure to please the palate of food lovers throughout the UK. The British Isles Culinary Discovery cruise aboard the Queen Elizabeth will sail next June and feature a number of chefs and foodies sharing their expertise.
Guests will be invited to enjoy delicacies from throughout the UK, as well as taking in a number of specially-developed shore trips. Charles Sichel, of Maison Sichel, and famed wine critic, Jilly Goolden, will be among the famous names curating the on board menus.
