At a press event, held in New York City, this week, Celebrity Cruises revealed more details about the upcoming Celebrity Edge – and it was ‘Eden’, an innovative performance and dining venue which really captured the imagination.
A three-deck terraced lounge, located at the stern of the ship, Eden has been designed to excite and arouse all the senses. Guests are invited to relax, eat and play in this innovative new space, designed with the Fibonacci sequence in mind. The Fibonacci sequence is noted for its relation to the dimensions of flowers – giving them their beautiful appearance.
It is this attention to detail and playful approach to design which seems destined to set Eden and Celebrity Edge apart from other cruise liners. Perhaps the most striking part of Eden’s design will be the Tree of Life – climbing through the restaurant.
Light, airy, and enriched by nature, Eden has been carefully designed to produce a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Built around three main concepts – Eden will provide ‘chillful’, ‘playful’, and ‘sinful’ experiences for guests. And the huge three-storey windows ensure the guests feel connected to the ocean at all time.
Throughout the morning and early afternoon, guests are invited into Eden to enjoy the chillful vibes. Eden Café is open for casual breakfast bites and hot drinks – providing the perfect spot to kick off another beautiful day aboard Celebrity Edge.
As the afternoon progresses, Eden takes on a playful charm with unexpected musical performances taking place and the Eden Bar opening for service. There’s even a chance for some light enrichment in Eden during this part of the day – with cooking and cocktail-making classes taking place. Staying in touch with nature whilst you channel your inner chef or mixologist, herbs for the recipes can be plucked direct from Eden’s comprehensive herb wall.
And as night falls, the sinful side of Eden comes to the fore. Eden Restaurant serves up delicious, decadent dishes before the vibrant nightlife takes over. Watch incredible performances with a single malt in hand, or chat with new friends over a bottle of sommelier-picked wine.
Designed for all guests of Celebrity Edge, Eden Café’s breakfast and lunch offerings are both complimentary, and the space has unrestricted access. Only Eden Restaurant requires a reservation – providing speciality cuisine for guests.
With just under 18 months until Celebrity Edge’s launch, Celebrity Cruises are bound to release more and more exciting new features for the upcoming ship. Set to be one of the most interesting ships in service, Celebrity Edge will be amongst the highlights of the busy 2018 cruise calendar.
