A ship wide revamp
Every room was revamped, as well as the majority of the ship’s public spaces. As the ship’s interior features beautiful dark woods, the design team chose to brighten the aesthetic with a lighter colour palette featuring greys, beiges, creams and medium browns. Outdated and worn down textiles were also replaced with warmer colours, including the burgundy curtains in the ship’s staterooms. Now, the mood is breezy and modern, with windows adorned in a decorative silvery grey fabric. The ship’s carpets have also been revived, with a plush, patterned grey carpet throughout.
Ryszard Gusmann, Azamara Journey’s Hotel Director said that the new look ship is much “fresher”, and that “the combination of light colours and fresh linens gives you the impression of more space”.
Sleek, sexy and modern
So what else in new on-board the new look Azamara Journey? For passengers in search of all out luxury and relaxation, the ship features a duo of new ‘spa suites’ with VIP access to the Sanctum Spa, plus a private spherical hot tub and walk-in shower. Hello peace, tranquillity and wonderfully luxurious romance! Both boast the airy feel of the ship’s new colour scheme, with a distinctly modern edge.
Aligning with the industry’s newfound focus on fine food and dining experience, Azamara has renamed the Looking Glass Lounge the Living Room, which will serve up artisan coffee, Spanish tapas and imported vino. The Pool Grill is now the Patio, a casual bistro by day which transforms into a formal venue after dark.
