7 Days of Anthem of the Seas – RipCord by iFly

0

With just a week until the Anthem of the Sea’s maiden Voyage, we take a look at one of the unique features of the Quantum Class of ships. The first skydiving experiences ever hosted on the open seas, RipCord by iFly gives Anthem of the Seas passengers the opportunity to experience the thrill of controlled freefall. Located on the top deck of the ship, RipCord can help you flip, fly and float within the specially-designed glass win tunnel.

Positioned just behind the surf simulator, RipCord completes the extreme sports section of the ship – sure to appeal to those who are young at heart and in body.

The Gift of Flight

iFly have been helping people realise their dream of flight since 1998, when the company first perfected the technology which supports indoor skydiving. With outlets around the world, hundreds of thousands of people have learned to fly with the help of the iFly team.

The completely stable, secure and safe iFly tubes are monitored by experienced flight coaches who will offer training and guidance to first-time fliers. These first installations on cruise ships are opening up the experience to a whole new audience.

Am I Fit to Fly

RipCord by iFly is completely complimentary for guests aboard the Anthem of the Seas, simply requiring a reservation made either prior to boarding the ship or during the cruise. Guests as young as three are allowed to enjoy the experience, and there is no upper age limit imposed upon guests – although some medical and physical conditions may not be suitable to fly with.

Each flight is two minutes in length, split into one minute with an instructor and one minute of free flight. Guests will be provided with a jumpsuit and a pair of goggles, making the experience even more realistic (without needing to fly 10,000ft into the air).
