Why Sail Transatlantic?

I often overhear people questioning why anyone would want to take a transatlantic cruise. Admittedly, it’s not something I would personally fancy doing however I can see the appeal for some.

The main problem with transatlantic cruising is all those days at sea. Most people don’t mind days at sea on a cruise, so long as they are broken up with docked days where you can get off the ship. However, on a transatlantic cruise, you could be “trapped” on the ship for a full 5 or 6 days without having the chance to get off.

The truth is though, transatlantic cruises can be the perfect opportunity to relax! You don’t have to worry about getting up early so you can get the most time on land, exploring your destination. You don’t even have to get up for breakfast! You can just take some time to relax by the pool or in your room, read a book, watch tv, or just sit and watch the world go by as you sail to your final destination.

Another plus point of transatlantic cruises is that they are generally quite cheap and you can get some amazing cruise deals with free onboard spends and upgrades to balcony rooms etc.

Overall though, a lot of people love cruising for the experience of being on the ship. It isn’t just the range of countries you can visit on one holiday that people like, they love sailing, they love how they get treated on a ship, and they love the whole experience of being on a cruise. You get this on a transatlantic cruise, often for a great price and on a quieter, less crowded ship.
