Disney Cruise Lines continues its innovations on board Disney Magic with the cruise industry’s first for all inside staterooms. Virtual Portholes offer a real time views outside the ship with a ‘window’ to the world.
High definition cameras which are placed on the exterior of the ship provide life video feeds to each stateroom corresponding to the location of the staterooms, with a view to port, starboard, forward or aft.
Along with the live video feed passengers may also catch glimpses of animated characters as they pop by the Virtual Portholes. The animated characters include Peach, the starfish from the Disney•Pixel film ‘Finding Nemo’, the flying balloon house from ‘Up’ and there’s even the possibility of Mickey Mouse passing by!
With so much to see and the chance of experiencing a virtual visit from Disney favourites it may be hard to tear children away from the Virtual Portholes, however, it’s a great way to keep them entertained whilst their parents rest or change ready for diner!
Disney Dream is full of wonderful virtual experiences for guests to enjoy whilst on board making them a family cruise experience which is second to none for those who love all things Disney!
