Royal Caribbean has this week announced a new partnership with world-renowned retailer, Tiffany & Co., in which a new independent concession will be added aboard the line’s Oasis-class vessel, Oasis of the Seas.
Working in close conjunction, Royal Caribbean and Tiffany & Co. struck a deal in which a single Tiffany & Co. boutique would open aboard the 225,282 ton Oasis of the Seas — which offers cruises to the Caribbean from its homeport of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
As it currently stands, the Tiffany & Co. freestanding concession will be located in Oasis of the Seas’ Central Park neighbourhood — perhaps in homage to the retailer’s historic headquarters in New York City. The boutique will offer cruise guests the chance to purchase a range of Tiffany & Co. products, including engagement rings, jewellery, and Tiffany’s T and Atlas collections, a brand new product line available exclusively to Royal Caribbean passengers.
Luciano Rodembusch, vice president of Tiffany & Co. Latin America, said: “We are delighted that Royal Caribbean guests will now have the opportunity to explore Tiffany’s legendary collections in an environment of luxury and service that is unique among the world’s premier jewellers. For 178 years we have been creating the most beautiful love stories and Oasis of the Seas offers a unique and memorable setting.”
Extending for 875 feet across Oasis of the Seas’ foremost retail atrium, the freestanding Tiffany & Co. boutique will be constructed to an extremely high standard, and will feature premium materials like marble, glossy lacquers, cerused walnut panelling and luxurious upholstered walls.
Mark Tamis, senior vice president of Royal Caribbean International’s Hotel Operations division, added: “Nothing can compare to the Oasis-class vacation experience, a testament to Royal Caribbean’s 40 year legacy of innovation. Tiffany & Co. is a distinguished global luxury brand and having a boutique on board will truly enrich the premium onboard experience for our guests. From surprising your loved one with a timeless keepsake to popping the question with the perfect engagement ring, what better way to remember a cruise adventure of a lifetime.”
