Thomson Cruises Adds Ten New Ports

Anticipating a busy winter 2015 season, Thomson Cruises have added ten new ports to their itineraries. These new ports will be spread across brand new itineraries and additions to existing cruise packages.

Spread throughout the Caribbean, Europe and South America, the new ports are a mixture of popular ports and new destinations which receive only a small cruise ship footfall.

The fleet’s largest ship, Thomson Dream, will undertake a brand new Cuban Revolutionary itinerary from winter 2015. The new package will include an overnight stay in the capital city, Havana, as well as stopping at Holguin and Santiago de Cuba.

The port of Trujillo on Honduras’ Banana Coast will also welcome a Thomson cruise ship for the first time as part of the Mayan Treasure cruise. The privately-owned port only received its first large cruise ship in October 2014 as demand to visit this untouched paradise increases.

The Thomson Celebration will also visit the ports of Bequia in St Vincent and the Grenadines to its Caribbean Cocktail and Oceans Eleven cruises respectively. The Thomson Majesty will add the Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera and Puerto de la Estaca to the Island Explorer itinerary. Additionally, guests on the ship’s New Year’s Eve cruise will be able to enjoy a fireworks display on the island of Madeira.

As well as the new itineraries, the cruise line has moved to add extra hotel options in Jamaica and the Canaries – including those currently under Thomson Cruises, Platinum Lifestyle and A La Carte collections.
