The Best Solo Cruise Cabins At-Sea

A new era of solo cruising is well and truly upon us, with the world’s leading lines offering a myriad of singles-friendly features. From exclusive lounges to singles-only cocktail parties, cruising without another half is now easier and more enjoyable than ever. Not to mention more affordable thanks to some seriously sexy cabins that shun the singles supplement and replace it with purpose built spaces for lone sailors. Are you planning on flying solo on your next cruise? Read on for a rundown of three of our favourite singles cabins.

MS Azura – P&O

Simple and streamlined, the 18 singles cabins on-board MS Azura are perfect for solo travellers. At approximately 130 square feet the cabins are luxuriously spacious and offer plenty of room to spread out. Oversized single beds ensure passengers get plenty of beauty sleep while a wardrobe, drawer space, air conditioning, writing desk, TV, radio and tea/coffee making facilities keep standards just as high as the rest of the ship.

Norwegian Epic – Norwegian Cruise Line

On-board the Norwegian Epic singles will find 128 cabins reserved exclusively for solo sailors. Known as The Studios, the rooms feature full size beds and zero singles supplement. Every inch of the 100-square-foot staterooms is beautifully designed with a hip, modern aesthetic. As an added bonus all passengers enjoy access to The Living Room, the ship’s purpose build lounge for singles who want to mingle.

Balmoral – Fred Olsen

Enjoy first class treatment on-board ships such as the Balmoral which feature singles cabins equipped with showers AND bathtubs. Not to mention private balconies and chic interior décor that is sure to make any single swoon. Plus there is no singles supplement in sight which means solo passengers can spend their cash on the things that matter – specialty meals, sunset cocktails, indulgent spa treatments… take your pick!
