Taylor Swift to Perform Live Aboard Allure of the Seas

Well the Allure of the Seas has not yet been launched and already, it is creating a storm in the world of cruising. Royal Caribbean have lined up a list of big name performers as long as my arm, and they are all set to perform within the first few months of the Allure of the Seas’ first sailing.

The biggest name to be announced so far is Taylor Swift, and let’s be honest, they don’t come much bigger! Taylor Swift has shot into superstardom in recent years with hits like “Love Story” and “You Belong with Me”, and now she will be singing them live on the Allure of the Seas. The show is set to take place during the 7-night Western Caribbean sailing which sets off on the 16th of January.

I know what you’re all thinking… How do we get tickets?! Well, don’t panic, there isn’t going to be a crowd surge as everyone gets onboard and rushes to the concierge desk. Instead, Royal Caribbean have partnered up with several radio stations and guests onboard the cruise will have the opportunity to win a ticket to the show. Altogether, 100 tickets will be rewarded to guests, and each winner will get to bring a plus one. If you want the chance to win, tune in to any of the participating Clear Channel radio stations and listen out for the “Allure of Taylor Swift” Keyword. The competition runs from the 18th – 29th of October, and to be in with a chance of winning, just text the keyword or submit it online. If you want to know more about which radio stations are participating, go to www.theallureoftaylor.com/stations.

As if this news isn’t exciting enough for the fab new Royal Caribbean ship, The Allure of the Seas is also going to be famous! The ship will be turned into the set for several scenes of the latest Adam Sandler film. “Jack and Jill” also stars Al Pacino (just as I said stars didn’t come much bigger than Taylor Swift!), and the lovely Katie Holmes. The scenes will be filmed in November, when the ship arrives in Florida.

Unfortunately, they won’t actually be going on a cruise during this time, as the ship will be going through it’s final preparations before being launched. So sadly you won’t get the chance to star spot around the pool, as it’s unlikely Al Pacino will be topping up his tan with you. Having said that, it’s possible that these mega movie stars will be bitten by the cruise bug when they’re onboard. Who knows? You could be sharing your dining table with Tom, Katie and little Suri next time you sail with Allure of the Seas.
