Strictly Set to Skyrocket P&O Entertainment to a Whole New Level

Cruising and dancing are set to sail side by side next year with the announcement that P&O will be showcasing live Strictly Come Dancing performances as part of its 2015 on-board entertainment itinerary. Celebrity judge Craig Revel Horwood believes that the move is a fantastic opportunity for P&O to offer its passengers “proper family entertainment.”

A line up of celebrity guests!

According to P&O officials, each cruise will feature two professional Strictly dancers, one official judge and a surprise celebrity guest. Horwood is expected to be one of these judges and can’t wait to see the series kick off in 2015. He maintains that the lively atmosphere is a great way to bring “a bit of happiness to everyone’s lives” and believes that the interactive nature of the how allows passengers to “become part of the Strictly experience.”

P&O encourages passengers to get involved

As well as the breath-taking professional performances, passengers will also be able to work on refining their own moves at one of the regular dance classes. Competitions will be held throughout the cruise, with a grand finale giving guests the chance to strut their stuff in the main theatre. The on-board Strictly judge and celebrity guest will both be in attendance to host the final event and lend a little star power!

Spain, Italy, Scandinavia and beyond…

At present, P&O has confirmed four dedicated Strictly Come Dancing cruises scheduled to set sail in 2015. The cruises will be serviced across the fleet, with at least one set to be held on-board the line’s newest vessel, Britannia. P&O is expecting an influx of interest and is encouraging passengers to get in quick to avoid disappointment. Dates are as follows:

  • April 23, 2015 – 14 night cruise on board Aurora. Calling at Portugal, Gibraltar & Spain.
  • May 28, 2015 – 14 night cruise on board Ventura. Calling at Portugal, Monaco & Italy.
  • June 20, 2015 – 14 night cruise on board Azura. Calling at Scandinavia, Russia & Estonia.
  • July 25, 2015 – 14 night cruise on board Britannia. Calling at Canary Islands & Iberia.
