Spotlight on Stunning Scotland

No doubt about it, Brexit has put a dent in the holiday plans of UK citizens across the nation. Rather than lump the plummeting exchange rate, this has inspired a host of holidaymakers to look a little closer to home.

Edinburgh

Affectionately known as ‘Auld Reekie,’ Edinburgh is the jewel in Scotland’s crown. Glasgow

Ullapool

Carved by glaciers, Ullapool is a spectacularly situated port. The highland fishing village boasts more than 200 years of history, and is a great hub for exploring nearby attractions like Loch Ness, Castle Urquhart, Gruinard Bay, Inverewe Botanical Gardens and the Falls of Measach.

Invergordon

In search of the Loch Ness monster? Keep an eye out for Nessie as you cruise into Invergordon, the undisputed gateway to Loch Ness. It’s a wonderful place to reconnoitre the “Great Glen” and get face to face with Scotland’s wildest side.

Stornoway 

A hub for tourism in the Outer Hebrides, Stornoway port is made all the more spectacular by its Lews Castle backdrop. As the only settlement on the archipelago, it welcomes visitors with small town charm, and a fascinating history peppered with Gaels, Celts and Vikings.

Orkney

With its Scandinavian heritage, Orkney is an eclectic mix of Nordic inspiration, and Scottish design. As the jumping point to more than 70 remote islands in the Orkney archipelago, it’s a Mecca for nature lovers, with endlessly amazing vistas and seascapes.
