River cruising is becoming increasingly popular, with travellers drawn to the unique destinations, intimate social experience and luxurious vessels that go hand in hand with small scale cruising. Crystal Cruises is the latest line to jump on-board the trend, announcing plans to launch its very own river vessel.
The dazzling 158-passenger Crystal Mozart is the company’s debut river vessel, setting a new standard of elegance. Ultra-chic and European inspired, the ship’s interiors have been dreamt up by the world’s top designers. A joint effort from London based design firm AD Associates and Toronto’s II by IV Design, Crystal Mozart keeps things refined with a colour palette of soft creams, greys and whites, set off with deep blue and green accents. Furnishings are modern and plush, with the beautifully appointed staterooms boasting king-size beds, marble bathrooms, 40-inch flat-screen TVs, Nespresso machines and trademark butler service. We’d expect nothing less from Crystal!
“The experience awaiting guests when they step aboard Crystal Mozart will be true to the superior standard of luxury for which Crystal has always been celebrated, with some additional and original offerings that will be exclusive to Crystal River Cruises,” comments Crystal’s president and CEO, Edie Rodriguez.
So where will Crystal Mozart be sailing? She’ll begin her career with a round trip maiden voyage from Vienna, where passengers will be able to soak up the delights of the River Danube. The rooftop garden on the Vista deck is the perfect place to watch the world go by, while the pop-up top deck bar is a natural choice for an after dinner tipple. As well as cruising down the Danube passengers will also be invited to board two tender boats. These will ferry guests to land for expedition-style shore excursions.
“We’re bringing what was already a grand dame of European rivers up to the superlative Crystal level, with a modern but ‘classically Crystal’ twist,” said Rodriguez.
The vessel’s dining experience is another highlight, with passengers able to choose from a host of options. Waterside’s indoor/outdoor setting hosts sumptuous breakfast and lunch buffets, along with a la carte evening meals. Blue is ideal for casual eats, while Bistro Mozart serves up an all-day selection of freshly baked pastries, fruit, coffee and tea. Self-service wine and beverage bar The Pantry is one of the line’s newest innovations, and for special occasions, The Vintage Room is an exclusive venue for up to 12 guests. “With our newest vessels, we’re upping our own ante by making every possible effort to ensure these components of a Crystal holiday are unparalleled,” said Rodriguez.
When she launches on July 13, Crystal Mozart will steal the crown as Europe’s largest river cruise vessel. Want to be on-board? Reach out to one of our Cruise 1st customer service agents today to secure your place. Call us free on 0808 2746 777.
