Royal Caribbean have partnered with New York City and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to provide free WiFi for subway platforms in New York. Platforms throughout Manhattan and Queens will benefit from the initiative, giving passengers the chance to browse and email for free.
The initiative is part of the celebration marking the launch of Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, the Quantum of the Seas next month. As reported, the ship will include the world’s fastest commercial internet connection at sea, continuing the company’s dedication to providing exceptional cruise experiences for the whole family.
Royal Caribbean are taking over the city of New York as the Quantum of the Seas makes her way to the Big Apple from Southampton for her maiden voyage. The city will host an extensive selection of Royal Caribbean advertisements, playing on billboards, screens and digital displays throughout New York.
Royal Caribbean are no strangers to advertising with the MTA, following their 2012 campaign wherein subway cars were reimagined to resemble cruise ships.
It is yet to be revealed if the launch of the Anthem of the Seas, next April, will receive the same media attention when the ships sets sail on her maiden voyage.
