Royal Caribbean to Introduce Suite Class Experiences

Royal Caribbean has announced plans to introduce new experiences and exclusive packages for guests travelling in suite-class cabins. Planned to operate as an all-inclusive package for VIP guests, Royal Caribbean’s suite class is set to be rolled out in 2016.

It is not a surprising move considering Royal Caribbean president, Michael Bayley’s, history. Bayley was an integral part of the Celebrity Cruises team when they introduced a similar concept. The popular Celebrity Cruises suite class packages entitle guests to exclusive access to butler service, afternoon tea, theatre reservations, priority tender service and the private restaurant, Luminae. It is anticipated that Bayley would wish to offer Royal Caribbean’s suite class guests a similarly comprehensive list of benefits.

Guests staying in Royal Caribbean suites currently enjoy a range of benefits including priority boarding, VIP pool deck seating and access to the concierge club as well as the exclusive Coastal Kitchen aboard a number of ships in the fleet.

The line’s senior vice president of sales, Vicki Freed, enthused: “We really want to make it a ‘wow’. The announcement should come this fall to roll out in 2016.

“It will include private areas just for suite guests and a more inclusive vacation experience. We have more suites on our ships than any one all-suite ship has. People would not normally think of Royal Caribbean as being top-heavy with suites, but Oasis and Allure of the Seas have 260 suites in six categories.”

The incoming suite class experience is expected to be made available to guests staying in the Royal Suite, Royal Family Suite, Presidential Family Suite, Owner’s Suite, Grand Suite, Royal Loft Suite, Sky Loft Suite, AquaTheatre Suite and Crown Loft Suite.
