Royal Caribbean announces their second celebrity expert for new Quantum experience advisors programme

Former NFL star and TV show host Dhani Jones will be joining interior design expert Genevieve Gorder as a “Quantum Experience Advisor.”

Along with Gorder, Jones is one of the new celebrity expert advisors hired by Royal Caribbean. The celebrities will be helping shape the look, feel and activities onboard the new Quantum of the Seas ships.

Jones formally played in the US National Football League for 11 seasons. However, he is also known for his off-the-field adventures too. He has starred in a number of his own shows, including a Travel Channel show called “Dhani Tackles the Globe.” Jones immersed himself in various cultures and learned how athletes around the world compete in their favourite sports – from Rugby to Sambo. Currently, Jones is starring in a new show on FOX Sports 1 called Jones and Mosley. The former NFL star is also an author, entrepreneur AND philanthropist, he sells high-end bow ties in benefit of various charities around the world.  Now Royal Caribbean International have teamed up with the athlete, he can also ad “Experience Advisor for Sports and Fitness” to his CV.  He will collaborate with the cruise line giant in a game plan for active cruising onboard new ship Quantum.

Over the coming months, Jones will sample Royal Caribbean’s existing programmes, plus he’ll add his trademark touch to Quantum of the Seas – including four custom-themed SeaPods that will be found on the mezzanine level of the SeaPlex.  Jones will also influence the programming in the Sports Deck onboard new ship Quantum.

Speaking of the newly announced collaboration, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Executive Vice President, Operations, Royal Caribbean International said: “We’re thrilled to draft Dhani as our latest partner to help us take on all things sports and fitness onboard Quantum of the Seas.”

Jones also gave the media a quote, speaking about his new role:

“I’m having a phenomenal time working with Royal Caribbean as a Quantum Experience Advisor. It’s giving me the opportunity to demonstrate my passion for sports, travel, fitness and adventure, and draw on my own experiences traveling the globe to contribute ideas that will bring good fitness and good fun to Quantum of the Seas.”

Currently, we know about several new Quantum of the Seas’ sporting innovations, including the fabulous RipCord by iFLY, the first skydiving experience at sea, which allows everyone – from seasoned professionals to experienced divers – to enjoy the sheer thrill of skydiving in a safe, simulated and controlled environment.
