Not satisfied with building the largest cruise ship in the world, complete with a range of next generation features and amenities; Royal Caribbean has announced a gobsmacking number of shows for the upcoming Harmony of the Seas. A mixture of old favourites and new originals will make up the entertainment for the 5,000 plus passengers enjoying the new Oasis Class vessel during her maiden season on the seas.
The comprehensive 1,380 Royal Theatre will showcase the two headlining shows: Grease and Columbus, The Musical. The former is one of the world’s most famous musicals with all and sundry knowing the words (and often the dance moves) to hits such as Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’ and Hopelessly Devoted to You.
Columbus, The Musical will feature Marvin Columbus, the fictional cousin of famous explorer, Christopher. The story follows down-on-his-luck Marvin’s bid to become a respected navigator in his own right.
In addition to the two theatrical offerings, Harmony will also play host to two water-based acrobat shows in the ship’s AquaTheatre. The Fire Line is a 360° stunt show with jaw-dropping stunts and feats of fearlessness, whilst Hideaway Heist is a more light-hearted high-diving comedy special.
The Studio B ice rink will not be left out of the action, also receiving two new shows. The first, 1887, is a Royal Caribbean original – telling the romantic story of Juliet and her mysterious time-travelling friend, The Tempus, in 19th century France. Additionally the rink will feature the iSkate Showcase – a chance for the talented skaters to strut their stuff to their favourite tracks.
In addition to the shows, Harmony of the Seas will feature Escape the Rubicon, an escape room which challenges guests to solve puzzles within an hour to unravel the mystery and plan their escape.
If you’re interested in taking in any of these shows aboard the Harmony of the Seas, Cruise1st offer a huge selection of great deals aboard the upcoming vessel. For a full range of deals, visit our dedicated page here or give us a call on 0808 2746 777.
