Details released about Quantum of the Seas’ itineraries

With bookings for Royal Caribbean’s newest ship Quantum of the Seas set to open to the general public on June 4th, the cruise line have released further details about the ship’s itineraries.

The ship will sail from sail from Cape Liberty Port in New Jersey after its inaugural voyage on November 23 2014. From there, the ship will offer the following:

• seven-night tours of the Bahamas
• eight-night tours of the Bahamas
• eight-night tours of the Eastern Caribbean
• 11-night tours of the Eastern Caribbean
• 11-night tours of the Southern Caribbean
• 12-night tours of the Southern Caribbean

On the Bahamas cruises, Quantum of the Seas will call at the following ports:

• Port Canaveral, Florida
• Nassau, Bahamas
• CocoCay, Bahamas (RCI’s private island.)

The Eastern Caribbean cruises will include stops at:

• San Juan, Puerto Rico
• Samana, Dominican Republic
• St. Thomas
• St. Kitts
• St. Maarten

The Southern Caribbean cruises will include stops at:

• San Juan, Puerto Rico
• St. Maarten
• Martinique
• Barbados
• St. Kitts
• Labadee, Haiti (RCI’s private beach, on most sailings).

About Quantum of the Seas:

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas is the first vessel in the new “Quantum Class” section of the fleet.

The new and innovative ship offers a mixture of thrilling “world firsts at sea” and classic features that people love.

Here are some of the new features holidaymakers can look forward to:

SeaPlex – set to be the largest indoor activity area at sea!  It will even home a regulation-sized basketball court and flying trapeze equipment.  Hungry guests can tuck into a snack from the ‘food truck’ – a first at sea!

The North Star is one of the most eagerly awaited and highly innovative offerings onboard the new ship.  It’s essentially a transparent pod that transports guests 300 meters above sea level, offering 350-degree views.  It even goes over the side of the ship!

Two70° is a fabulous new venue space, offering interactive experiences,housed in three decks of floor-to-ceiling glass.  The space promises interactive events day and night, where guests can also take in 270° panoramic views of the sea.  There’ll also be a cafe in the venue, offering gourmet casual dining options.

Staterooms onboard Quantum will be 9% larger (on average) than the Oasis Class ships (despite the ships actually being smaller).  They’ll feature modern touches in rooms, such as USB outlets.
