The new Advisors consist of a group of celebrity experts from the design, sports, fitness and entertainment fields. Each Advisor will work hand-in-hand with Royal Caribbean to shape interior design, key amenities and activities on the new Quantum Class ships.
The Quantum Experience Advisors will lend their knowledge to Royal Caribbean in a bid to ensure every onboard experience has been maximised to the fullest extent. The celebrity advisory team will be active in making pivotal decisions for the Quantum class ships, and they will help to develop the new programs and features for guests to enjoy.
Additionally, Royal Caribbean will be documenting the experience online in a number of videos released and uploaded to their website. Cruise fans can follow along for a chance to see the Advisors live in action!
Speaking about the new advisory team, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Executive Vice President of Operations for Royal Caribbean International said:
“Our teams at Royal Caribbean are always leading the charge in terms of delivering innovative and industry-leading ships and programming and now, by teaming up with some of the brightest and most talented professionals in their respective fields, we are sure to make the Quantum-class some of the most amazing ships to ever set sail. Guest experience is our number one priority and our Quantum Experience Advisors are bringing fresh insights, opinions and perspectives to help us deliver the kinds of WOW moments that can only be found on Royal Caribbean.”
Only one Quantum Experience Advisor has been announced to date, with the company promising to reveal more details soon.
The first celebrity Royal Caribbean has partnered with is Genevieve Gorder, one of America’s top interior designers and a popular TV personality on HGTV. Gorder will collaborate with RCI’s design team to offer insights and opinions on the decor and furnishings of the new Quantum ships’ loft and suite accommodation.
Gorder has been working with Royal Caribbean since May 2013, providing her valuable insight to the teams and participating in collaborative design sessions with the company. She has immersed herself in the ship’s design process and has reviewed plans, fabrics, carpets and furnishings all destined for the new ships’ luxurious accommodations.
Royal Caribbean hope that Gorder will bring her “soulful and whimsical style” to the lofts and suites of the new Quantum Class ships. Once complete, guests will be able to spot her signature touches (such as as colour, fabric and patterns) incorporated throughout the design.

Speaking of her new role, Gorder said:
“It’s exhilarating to work with Royal Caribbean, a brand known for pushing the envelope in ship design and innovation. This has been an incredible process, learning what it takes to make everything come together from hardware to soft goods to to little design details. This project has been like nothing I have ever worked on before and is giving me the chance to collaborate with a team of ship building experts to come up with designs that will work onboard a ship as well as inspire every guest that stays onboard. This is their home away from home and it needs to feel amazing.”
The company will be revealing several other Quantum Experience Advisors in the coming months – in the meanwhile, you can stay up to date with Quantum’s progress and watch videos staring Genevieve Gorder online, here.
